CITY OF SHASTA LAKE: Man arrested for DUI after plowing sedan into tree
CITY OF SHASTA LAKE — Authorities arrested a man who crashed into a tree while driving under the influence, Monday evening, Oct. 30. The DUI-related crash happened on Shasta Street near Toyon Avenue in the City of Shasta Lake.
Deputies assigned to the City of Shasta Lake responded to the accident about 9 p.m. after SHASCOM emergency dispatchers received reports of the solo-vehicle collision.
When they arrived, deputies found a white, Ford Crown Victoria sedan that had plowed into a tree.
During their investigation deputies contacted and interviewed 21-year-old, City of Shasta Lake resident, Clarence James McKee.
While speaking with McKee deputies determined he had been driving while under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into the tree. McKee failed a series of field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol level was later determined to be over .08%, the legal limit in California.
Based on their investigation and McKee’s level of intoxication, deputies arrested McKee and he was later booked into Shasta County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was later cited and released and will appear in court at a later, unspecified date.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
