MENIFEE: Trio arrested after traffic stop, search warrant, when deputies locate drugs, weapons

MENIFEE — Deputies arrested three people following a traffic stop after discovering the trio was in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 9. After the traffic stop, deputies served a search warrant at the alleged suspect’s home, at which time they located and seized additional narcotics and multiple weapons.

After the investigation, Victoria Madrigal, 52, Erika Fletchall, 29, and Travis Schulz, 25 – who are all Menifee residents – were later booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on a variety of drug related charges, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Sam Morovich explained after the incident and arrests.

Members of the Menifee Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic enforcement stop about 4:30 p.m., near the intersection of Westlink Drive and Newport Road Menifee.

During a subsequent search of the trio and their vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to Morovich. Based on the discovered narcotics, deputies arrested all three occupants.

SET members obtained a search warrant for Madrigal’s residence, located in the 29000 block of St. Andrews Drive in Menifee and served the warrant later that evening, about 8 p.m.

During the service of the search warrant deputies located and seized additional narcotics, including methamphetamine and cocaine. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia and seven firearms.

An online jail records search revealed both Madrigal and Fletchall were booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schulz was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. All three were cited and released within hours of their arrest.
