MENIFEE: Young child found unresponsive in home’s hot tub rushed to hospital

MENIFEE — Officials are investigating after a young child was seriously injured after being found unresponsive in a hot tub at a private residence in Menifee, Sunday evening, Feb. 4. The near drowning happened at a residence on the 30000 block of Buckboard Lane, southwest of Newport and Murrieta Roads.

Emergency first responders raced to the home shortly before 7:30 p.m., after the child was found inside the home’s hot tub, Cal Fire/Riverside, Riverside County Fire spokesperson April Newman explained in an incident report.

When officials arrived they immediately began CPR and life-saving efforts before American Medical Response medics rushed the young victim by ground ambulance to an area hospital with a Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighter-paramedic on board. His injuries were described as major by fire officials.

Officials did not specify the child’s age or provide any other details or updates related to the incident.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
