Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s officials later identified the victim as Jeffrey O’Brien, 18, of Boise, ID. He was pronounced dead about at 12:36 a.m. the next morning, about one hour after he was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center’s ER for life-saving measures

City of Murrieta Police and Fire Department along with other emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene of the fatal, Valentine’s Day crash about 11:40 p.m., after receiving a 911 call reporting the crash.

When they arrived officials found O’Brien on the ground with major traumatic injuries, Murrieta PD Traffic Sergeant Sandra O’Donnell explained in a press release after the deadly wreck.

AMR medics rushed O’Brien to Inland Valley Medical Center, “where he later died from his injuries,” O’Donnel explained.
