PERRIS: Man dead after shooting, officials investigating
PERRIS — Officials are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Sunday evening, Apr. 8. The victim was fatally shot on the 2000 block of N. Perris Boulevard in Perris and died later at an area hospital, according to sheriff’s officials, who have released almost no other details regarding the shooting or their ongoing investigation.

Deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Police Station responded to reports of a shooting about 6:50 p.m., Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Ben Ramirez explained in a written press release early yesterday morning. When they arrived, deputies found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.
“The male was medically treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to an area hospital,” said Ramirez. “The male succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”
Officials have not released the victim’s name or any other details other than to state that Perris PD and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
The sheriff’s investigation is ongoing and according to officials, no further information will be released at this time.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
