After an investigation, Riverside police officers arrested Tyler John Clarke, 29, of Riverside. He was booked into jail on suspicion of committing eight felonies and two misdemeanors.

His charges included two counts of criminal threats, vandalism, negligent discharge of a firearm or BB device, several prior state prison enhancements, and violation of PRCS probation.

Riverside PD’s investigation began about 1:20 a.m.,when officers were dispatched to a home on Shamouti Drive after receiving reports of a man shooting out the windows of a home and threatening residents at the location.

When officers arrived they quickly located and detained Clarke.

“After speaking to the victims and witnesses, officers learned the suspect had yelled threats at the victims from their front yard and used a BB or pellet gun to shoot out two of their windows,” Riverside PD officials explained in a social media release.

Officers at the scene learned that in addition to threatening the family members and shooting out two of the home’s windows, Clarke was on Post-Release Community Supervision.

Based on the victim and witness statements and damage to the residence reportedly caused by Clarke, officers arrested the man and transported him to Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Online jail records indicated Clarke was arraigned this morning at Riverside’s Hall of Justice and was held to answer eight of the ten charges. His next scheduled court hearing has bot yet been scheduled.
