UPDATE: Missing Redding woman, 83, located safe

UPDATE: July, 5, 1:20 a.m.

REDDING —  Redding PD thanked the public for their help locating a missing Redding woman, last seen driving in the area of Lake Blvd near Northpoint Dr.

Although officials did not specify where 83-year-old, Janet Berry Linville was located, in a social media update Redding PD reported that the elderly woman had been located and is safe.

 

REDDING — Officials are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Redding senior who was last seen on the 200 block of Lake Blvd. The woman is considered at-risk and becomes easily confused and disoriented, according to officials.

Redding PD issued a Silver Alert after 83-year-old, Janet Berry Linville, went missing. She was last seen driving her husband’s green 1998 Toyota Tacoma extra-cab pickup truck on Lake Blvd. near Northpoint Dr. The vehicle’s license plate number is 7U73556.

Linville suffers from severe dementia and is easily confused and officials have requested that if spotted, please call 911.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 – soon to be 15 – grandchildren.
