TEMECULA, CA ─ Temecula residents and visitors are invited to Groove @ The Merc: Darryl F. Walker ‘Sings Al Jarreau’ on Saturday, August 25, 2018 and September 22, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Temecula Presents moves the popular Groove Series to The Merc. Darryl F. Walker’s five-piece band will perform on the intimate stage in The Merc. You will go on a musical adventure with legendary Al Jarreau hits that will have you tapping your feet and grooving to the sound of unforgettable world-class Blues and Soul music.

Darryl F. Walker began singing in his early childhood and has one of the most exceptional voices in the industry today. He has performed at some of the most notable venues and exclusive private events, as well as notable Jazz and R & B concerts in the country.

In addition to stunning vocal abilities, Darryl is also known as a talented saxophonist. Specializing in R&B, Pop, Blues, and Jazz, Darryl has lit up countless live shows and recording sessions with leads and backgrounds adding vocals or sax for a bevy of labels: Tabu, A&M, Motown, Mesa Blue Moon Records, Northern Blues, and Ripa Records. Bilingual skills have garnered him the honor of being the vocalist of choice for the pre-production team of world-renowned Latin artist Luis Miguel.

This double threat is known in the industry as a consummate professional. Darryl’s natural talents, dedication to his craft, charisma and personal warmth come across with each and every performance. It is easy to see what has made this artist a favorite with so many celebrity, society, and corporate clients across the nation. He currently tours with his own band, the Darryl F. Walker Band; Greg Adams and East Bay Soul, as lead vocalist and saxophonist; and Haute Chile Productions, as lead vocalist, saxophonist, and percussionist.

Trevor Montgomery, 47, recently moved to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source and Shasta County News Source. Additionally, he writes for several other news organizations, including Riverside County based newspapers, Valley News, The Valley Chronicle and Anza Valley Outlook, as well as Bonsall/Fallbrook Village News in San Diego County and The Mountain Echo in Shasta County.

Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations, including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center and Lake Elsinore Station, along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 – soon to be 15 – grandchildren.
