Anderson probation compliance check and warrant sweep nets 8 arrests

ANDERSON — A recent probation compliance and warrant service operation throughout the Anderson area resulted in a total of eight arrests, Anderson PD announced on social media. The POP Unit conducts these operations monthly to ensure compliance by the supervised offenders in the Anderson area, officials explained in a recent Facebook release.

Anderson PD’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted the sweep Wednesday, Aug. 22. Shasta County Probation and Shasta County Marshal’s Office assisted with the operation, which entailed conducting probation compliance checks and searches at fifteen Anderson area locations.

Eight people were arrested as a result of the successful operation for a variety of charges ranging from narcotics possession and use, drug paraphernalia, outstanding warrants, and violation of probation..

During the sweep, officials arrested the following people:

  • Bruce Redfern, age 37, of Anderson, was arrested for a violation of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being in a place where narcotics are used, kept, or sold.
  • Fransisco Lomeli, age 30, of Cottonwood, was arrested for a violation of probation, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being in a place where narcotics are used, kept, or sold.
  • Brenda Tarver, age 49, of Anderson, was arrested for a violation of her court probation and for being in a place where narcotics are used, kept, or sold.
  • Hang Saechao, age 45, of Anderson, was arrested for maintaining a place where narcotics are used, kept, or sold, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a violation of his court probation.
  • Jeffery Jensen, age 51, of Anderson, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Ryland Quigley, age 23, of Anderson, was arrested for a violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.
  • Salvador Diaz, age 62, of Anderson, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Mary Shipley, age 34, of Anderson was arrested on three outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Trevor Montgomery, 47, recently moved to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source and Shasta County News Source. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
