Hemet “T-Bone” rollover crash sends one to hospital
HEMET — Two men were injured and one was transported to an area hospital with head and other injuries after a two-vehicle, rollover accident in Hemet yesterday afternoon. The injury collision happened Friday, Nov. 30, at the intersection of N. Girard St. and E. Menlo Ave.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments, along with AMR and other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the crash around 3:15 p.m., after receiving reports of a rollover accident with at least one victim trapped in an overturned truck.

Hemet Fire’s newest Medic-1 rig was first to arrive at the scene and firefighter/paramedics reported finding two wrecked trucks, including a Ford F150 with heavy front-end damage and a Toyota Tundra that was overturned and on its roof. Officials reported one man was still inside the overturned truck and was bleeding heavily from a head injury.
As police and other officials were still arriving at the scene, paramedics managed to safely extricate the injured Toyota driver from his overturned truck and began treating both him and the driver of the Ford.
After treating the Toyota driver for his head injury, wrapping the wound with gauze, AMR transported the man to Hemet Valley Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the Ford was evaluated and treated at the scene, but declined further medical treatment.
While officers investigated the cause of the crash, City of Hemet PD volunteers responded to the scene of the accident to assist with traffic control at the intersection.
Witnesses later described that the Toyota had been traveling northbound on Girard approaching the posted stop sign at Menlo. At the same time the Ford was traveling eastbound on Menlo and had the right of way.
For an unknown reason the Toyota attempted to cross Menlo, directly in front of the path of the oncoming Ford, at which time the Ford plowed broadside into the driver’s side of the Toyota. The impact between the two trucks caused the Toyota to overturn onto its roof, temporarily trapping the driver.
A tow truck later righted the overturned Toyota back onto its wheels and both it and the Ford were eventually towed from the scene.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
