Man seriously injured during Hemet trailer park incident

HEMET — Authorities are investigating an incident that left one man unresponsive, with “serious head injuries” at a Hemet trailer park early Friday  evening, Jan. 4. The incident happened at Cozy Trailer Court and Apartments in the 200 block of E. Kimball Ave., just east of State St.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the trailer park around 5:50 p.m., after receiving reports of an assault at the location. 911 callers reported a male victim was down on the ground, unresponsive. Callers also reported the victim had a pulse, but was not breathing.

When officials arrived they found the victim still down and unresponsive in the trailer park. Paramedics quickly evaluated and treated the man before AMR rushed the victim to Riverside Regional University Health System’s trauma center in Moreno Valley.

Officers searched the area for the reported suspect(s), but were unable to locate anyone at the time.

Asked for information and details about the incident, Hemet Police Lt. Nate Miller told RCNS this morning that the incident is still under investigation.

“I can confirm a battery occurred and the victim, who’s name is being withheld at this point, was transported to the hospital with serious head injuries,” Miller explained. “He was unable to provide a statement as of yet.”

“Our suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival,” Miller continued, “and we are interested in speaking with anyone who may have additional information.”

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
