Officials investigating Lake Elsinore shooting
LAKE ELSINORE — Details are beginning to emerge after a Lake Elsinore shooting reportedly sent one person to the hospital with unknown injuries last night, Saturday, Jan. 12. Riverside Sheriff’s Department is now investigating the shooting, which happened on Robin Dr., between Lincoln St. and Raven Dr.

Although sheriff’s officials have not released any information regarding the shooting, sources familiar with the incident and subsequent investigation later reported that deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, along with Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and other emergency personnel, were dispatched to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon on Robin Dr. about 11 p.m.
When officials arrived they reportedly found a victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Their current condition has not been updated and was not known as of this report.
As their investigation was getting underway, forensic technicians from the department’s Forensic Services Bureau responded to the scene and assisted investigators with documenting, photographing, and collecting, evidence from the scene. Deputies, investigators, and other officials remained at the location throughout the rest of the evening and well into the following morning, according to area residents.
Sheriff’s officials have not yet released any details regarding the shooting or their investigation, which is active and ongoing.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
