Search for suspects ongoing after Anderson drive-by shooting

ANDERSON — Officials have asked for the public’s help identifying those responsible for an Anderson drive by shooting that happened last night, Sunday, April 7. Although a home was struck by gunfire, no injuries were reported after the shooting, which was reported on the 18000 block of Majestic View Dr., east of Happy Valley Rd.

Deputies are now searching for a blue Honda or similar make four-door passenger vehicle, with dark tinted windows and black wheels. The car was seen driving from the area at a high rate of speed toward Happy Valley Rd.

Deputies were first alerted to the shooting shortly after 6:30 p.m. after the victims called 911 to report shots fired at their residence, Shasta County Sheriff’s Sgt. Garet Baldwin later said.

Deputies soon learned three adults were at the residence when the shooting happened, but none were injured.

With the assistance from a California Highway Patrol helicopter and Redding police officers, deputies searched the surrounding area for the suspect vehicle, but were unable to locate it.

As their investigation was continuing, deputies located two bullet holes, “one on the exterior of the residence and one in a tree in front of the residence,” explained Baldwin.

Officials did not specify if there was a known motive for the shooting, and the sheriff’s investigation is active and ongoing

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
