Two arrested after Mt. Shasta warrant yields drugs, more

MT. SHASTA — A search warrant served at a Mt. Shasta apartment complex ended with the seizure of a substantial amount of illegal narcotics as well as items related to identity theft and credit card fraud Wednesday, May 22. Two Mt. Shasta residents were arrested as a result of the investigation and warrant service.

Mt. Shasta PD, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department, Siskiyou County Probation, and California Department of Justice members assisted Siskiyou Unified Major investigations Team (SUMIT) officials in serving the search warrant at 210 E. Hinckley St.

During the service of the search warrant, officials detained 41-year-old Christopher Jones, and 55-year-old Alana Manzer, who were found inside the residence.

According to a Mt. Shasta PD social media release, officials serving the warrant located and seized 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, 0.2 grams of heroin, pre-loaded hypodermic needles containing heroin, Suboxone films, prescription tablets without a prescription, digital scales, a medical prescription pad, and multiple cellular devices.

“In addition to the narcotics related evidence, 22 blank credit cards and a credit card reader/programmer were also seized,” Mt Shasta PD reported.

Based on their investigation, officials arrested Manzer for possession of controlled narcotics and Jones was arrested for possession of controlled narcotics for sale and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Both alleged suspects were later booked at Siskiyou County Jail on those and other related charges.

“We would like the thank the SUMIT team for all the hard work they put into this investigation, helping to make a difference in our community and all of Siskiyou County,” Mt Shasta PD wrote in their release.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
