Motorcyclist hospitalized after two-vehicle Elsinore crash
LAKE ELSINORE — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a passenger car in Lake Elsinore early Wednesday morning, July 31. The crash happened at the intersection of Railroad Canyon Rd. and Tassel Way, according to officials.

Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, along with other Cal Fire and other emergency personnel, responded to the scene shortly before 5:30 a.m., after receiving reports of the collision, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Jimenez later reported.
When officials arrived they found a downed and injured motorcyclist who was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he received treatment for his unspecified injuries.
Members of Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Traffic Team members determined the motorcyclist had been traveling southbound on Railroad Canyon when he collided with a Honda Civic, which was making a left turn onto Railroad Canyon from eastbound Tassel Way.
Officials have not yet determined if alcohol or drug intoxication were contributing factors in the crash.
Several lanes in both directions of Railroad Canyon Road were closed for nearly four hours while officials investigated the cause of the the collision. Their investigation is ongoing.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
