Officials seek help ID’ing Anderson burglary suspects

ANDERSON — After exhausting all their leads, authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating several suspects who were caught on surveillance video breaking into and burglarizing an Anderson business earlier this month. The suspects stole about $14,000 in power tools and other merchandise, according to officials.

City of Anderson police officers were alerted to the early-morning burglary just after 4 a.m., when SHASCOM received a call for service regarding a glass break alarm sounding at the business.

When officers arrived the burglar alarm was still sounding and they found the glass entrance door to the business to be shattered.

After searching the business, officers learned the suspects had fled the location prior to their arrival.

During their subsequent investigation, officers learned numerous items had been stolen, including two Bosch Electric Breaker Hammers, one Hilti Concrete Saw, five Stihl Blowers, twelve Stihl Chainsaws and one Stihl Cutoff Saw.

“The total retail cost loss was approximately $14,000,” Anderson PD officials wrote in a recent social media release.

“In review of the surveillance video, officers could see a dark colored van pull into the businesses parking lot and back up to the front entrance,” APD officials explained. “One of the suspects exited the van and used a bolt cutter to break the glass out of the front door.”

“Once the door was shattered, you can see 3 additional suspects enter the store,” the post continued.

After loading their vehicle with stolen merchandise the suspects, who were all seen in the video wearing dark colored clothing with hoodies, fled the location.

Their vehicle has been described as a newer model dark colored van with tinted widows and silver rims.

The case has since been assigned to Anderson PD detectives and officials are now asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects and van.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
