Search for gunman continuing after deadly San Jacinto shooting
SAN JACINTO — Authorities investigating the shooting death of a man in San Jacinto are continuing to search for the alleged gunman and have asked for the public’s help in the form of witnesses or anyone who may have cell phone or home security surveillance footage of the deadly incident that led to the victim’s death.
Officials who conducted an hours-long manhunt for the alleged gunman say the fatal encounter happened inside a residential neighborhood on the 100 block of Jordan Ave., early Friday evening, Nov. 15.

Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to location at 5:50 p.m., after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, Central Homicide Unit Sgt. Rick Espinoza reported after the shooting.
When deputies arrived at the scene they found a male “lying on the road suffering from a gunshot wound,” according to Espinoza.
Deputies immediately began administering first aid and continued life-saving efforts until the victim was transported to an area hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries.
“Unfortunately, the male died as a result of his injuries,” Espinoza explained.
No information about the victim’s identity or age have been released, pending further investigation and notification of the person’s family.

As the shooting investigation was getting underway, dozens of sheriff’s deputies and SWAT members descended on the small neighborhood, bringing with them two armored tactical rescue vehicles and a command center.
Throughout the rest of the evening, heavily armed SWAT members and deputies combed the street and surrounding neighborhood, searching for the person responsible for the deadly shooting. However, despite the hours-long search, officials were not able to locate the suspected shooter.
Based on the circumstances, Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit and San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. While investigators worked at the scene interviewing potential witnesses, technicians from the Forensic Services Unit were seen documenting, photographing and collecting various items of potential evidence from the area where the shooting happened.
Officials have not specified if the shooter has been identified or if a motive is known and Espinoza said no further details were able to be released in their ongoing investigation.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
