No injuries after car plows through SJ donut shop
SAN JACINTO — Authorities in San Jacinto are investigating the cause of a solo-vehicle crash after a vehicle plowed into and nearly through a building, leaving a popular donut shop shut down with major structural damage earlier this morning, Thursday, Dec. 19.
Witnesses at the scene of this morning’s crash later reported an elderly man may have become confused and accelerated into the building and that the senior citizen appeared uninjured after the collision.

Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station and other emergency personnel were alerted to the crash around 9:30 a.m., after receiving multiple reports that an SUV had crashed into and driven through Jenny’s Donuts, located northwest of the intersection of S. State and W. 7th streets.
When officials arrived they found a white Buick completely inside the business. An elderly man was near his damaged vehicle, which crashed through the front of the business, before plowing all the way through the eatery and almost back out through a side window and wall. Much of the business’s interior, including furniture and displays, were destroyed when the car careened through the location.

The victim, who needed a walker to exit his vehicle, appeared shaken up but was otherwise uninjured in the crash. He was evaluated and treated at the scene by paramedics, but did not require further medical attention.
The victim’s SUV, which sustained minor front-end damage, was eventually pulled from inside the business and building inspectors were summoned to the location to assess the damage caused by the impact.
“Normally Jenny’s is really busy at that hour,” LaTeesha Grand, who witnessed this morning’s crash, later told RCNS. “But by the grace of God, nobody was inside the store when (the victim) crashed into the building.”
“I just feel so bad for the owners, because they are good people who work so hard at what they do,” Grand continued; saying, “I really hope they are able to re-open soon!”
No injuries were reported after the accident and San Jacinto PD’s investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
