Three men shot in Perris neighborhood

PERRIS — Although few details have been released, authorities have confirmed they are investigating the shooting of three men in Perris yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, Feb. 11. All three victims are expected to survive the shooting, which happened on the 1500 block of Ashbury Way, southeast of Redlands Ave. and E. Nuevo Rd.

Deputies and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the residential neighborhood around 3:15 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Robyn Flores reported after the shooting.

When officials arrived they found three men who suffering from gunshot injuries.

While deputies began investigating the shooting paramedics treated the three victims, before transporting them to area hospitals. The victim’s injuries were considered non-life threatening, according to Flores.

As yesterday’s investigation was getting underway deputies cordoned off the are of the neighborhood where the shooting happened, causing some residents to not be able to return home or leave the area until the victims were transported from the area and the crime scene had been processed.

Investigators from the Perris Sheriff’s Station, along with members of the Department’s Forensic Service Unit and other officials, soon arrived and assumed the investigation.

Investigators were later seen canvassing the neighborhood, searching for any potential witnesses or any homes that may have had home security surveillance cameras that might be able to provide information about the shooting.

All three victims were older than 30, according to Flores; who said no arrests had been made and that the Sheriff’s investigation was active and ongoing.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
