When officers arrived they contacted Paul Allen Griffin, 31, of Anderson, who advised he lived at the location.

“Griffin appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was detained without incident,” said officials.

During a subsequent probation search of Griffin’s residence, officers discovered methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, methamphetamine smoking devices, and heroin smoking devices, throughout the apartment and detached garage, according to APD.

“Griffin admitted to allowing others to visit and use controlled substances within his residence,” explained officials.

Based on their investigation, officers arrested Griffin and he was later booked into Shasta County Jail in Redding on suspicion of maintaining a residence for the purpose of using illegal drugs – a felony, as well as possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
