Anderson Police Officers responded to the Anderson Walmart after the store’s Loss Prevention Agents reported that a white male with long hair had attempted to steal items from the location. Agents advised SHASCOM emergency dispatchers that the man had fled southbound on Rhonda Road in a vehicle.
While checking the area for the vehicle, officers spotted Kenton’s vehicle in the Cottonwood area of Rhonda Road and Matthew Drive.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained Kenton, who provided a false name to officers, identifying himself as Jeffery Rockwell.
“A records check revealed no prior contacts with that name and no state ID or drivers licensed issued in that name in all fifty states,” APD has since explained.
When officers confronted Kenton about the name discrepancy and asked for some form of ID, the felon told officers he didn’t have any ID’s or a Social Security number because his family was Amish.
