When officials arrived at the location they reported finding fire and heavy smoke coming for the roof of one of the apartments inside the complex.

Due to the immediate threat to other nearby apartments units firefighters made an aggressive attack on the primary blaze while going into heavy defensive mode to protect other apartments from the growing fire.

The fire was contained to the main apartment a short time later with minor damage and extension to the neighboring apartment. Full containment was reported around 3 p.m.

No citizen or firefighter injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
