One year ago today, I traveled to our nation’s capital to assemble with like-minded people and protest the certification of the 2020 election results.
I still dissent!
Having just finished watching the documentary available on Western Journal called “Capitol Punishment,” I encourage you to purchase and watch it. It is very telling to the actual events and footage of the day as opposed to the media and governmental narrative. I remember because I was there.
The official narrative continually propagated is a lie. (Here is a compilation of counter-narrative articles.) Good people manipulated to enter the Capitol building have been used to strong-arm the people into silence. The 70 men and women I understand are still behind bars (sixth and eighth amendment anyone)as a direct result of their presence in D.C. on that day are meant to instill fear and shut the mouths of opposition. (I shout out to Julie Kelly and her tireless work to free those incarcerated for exercising dissent.) The communistic approach keeps good people home and silent the next time they disagree with the government’s position, allowing an uncontrolled electorate to run rampant.

I have fallen prey to this coercion many times in my life, but none more severe than the agitation I have felt over the past two years. (Remember the woman arrested in New York for not wearing a mask, or more recently the men arrested, including a veteran, for not adhering to the fascist policy requiring a vaccine passport.) Maybe it is because of many missteps through my almost 50 years that remind me of times I have failed or used poor judgment. Perhaps it is due to my desire to befriend everyone and my hesitancy at confrontation. Or, quite possibly, it directly reflects a part of my conscience afraid to hear anything negative toward my position that necessitates a strong defense. The political persecution is palpable.
Furthermore, there is also the underlying fear that the FBI will storm my home because I dare to contradict the chosen narrative promulgated from the White House and media, or my civil liberties infringed because I refuse to comply to authoritarianism. Yet, representatives of that very agency have visited others in my community who dared travel to D.C. one year ago. Thankfully, none were unjustly arrested and falsely accused. And, frankly, I would prefer not to have to carry the mantle of arrest and arraignment. But, alas, maybe it is a cross I have to bear.

I have fallen under a spell, complying with irrational mandates, a few times since the first two weeks to slow the spread that permeated our culture with the lies and deceit that we will all die if we don’t comply. That lie continues to coerce us into submission as our President threatened those of us unwilling to submit to the unconstitutional requirements with death this winter. But, now I refuse to agree and comply with these gross exaggerations and unconstitutional raids and mandates. I choose to exercise my Faith and Believe that God has not given me a spirit of Fear but of Power, and of Love, and a Sound Mind. I choose to overcome through the Word of Truth, the Word of my Testimony and the Blood of the Lamb the narrative that tries to keep me quiet.
We must continue to resist the tyrannical usurpations of our liberties and raise our voices for the Truth, that justice might prevail! We must be willing to stand and speak against the injustice of totalitarian rule and a compromised and manipulated media. (The conflict of interest in Jim Smith, former president and CEO of Reuters, and current Chairman of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, who also sits on the board of Pfizer, is one example.) We must continue to create and advance avenues where speech reigns unbridled (to clarify, one can present positions without the use of expletives.)
January 6 was a mostly peaceful assembly turned upside-down by an instigating evil horde bent on destruction. The horde’s immoral motivations to storm the Capitol, break down doors and windows, and coerce a beautiful young veteran to her final breath are the epitome of the anti-American Antifa (think John Earle Sullivan). These are the people who the FBI should investigate, arrest, and prosecute to the full extent of the law. (For example, who is the man handing out what appear to be batons through an open window in the Capitol building? Has his home been raided? Has he been detained, arrested, or interrogated?)
There are still so many unanswered questions, valid concerns about the integrity of the 2020 election. However, notwithstanding the courts’ refusal to mitigate properly, we deserve to have a trustworthy electoral process. We have the Right to tell our government to clean up whatever we deem uncouth. We have the Right to travel, breathe, believe, write, and speak our minds! In fact, as of this writing, I am considering returning to D.C. on January 23, 2022, to help defeat the madness. However you are able, join me.
To the fine men and women unfairly raided, immorally canceled and closed down, unjustly arrested, currently incarcerated, and/or awaiting trial, I stand with you and pray that Justice prevails. You have my utmost respect and support. It is my prayer for you that the God of all comfort would comfort you in this distress (2 Corinthians 1:3-7) -e pluribus unum-
Robert Socha (so-ha), was born in southern California. He served 5 years 3 months active duty in the United States Air Force; honorably. After his service he took an Associate’s Degree in Practical Theology, where, through his studies, developed a deep love of God and Country and sincere appreciation of the value of Liberty. Robert and his beloved wife of 20 years are raising 4 beautiful Texan children. They moved to Hillsdale, Michigan, in 2013, to put their children in Hillsdale Academy. He later became a City of Hillsdale Council Member. For almost 5 years he has worked in sales. He and his wife consider Michigan a hidden gem, and absolutely love this city and state they’ve adopted.

Trevor Montgomery, 49, moved in 2017 to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source (RCNS) and Shasta County News Source (SCNS).
Additionally, he writes or has written for several other news organizations; including Riverside County-based newspapers Valley News, Valley Chronicle, Anza Valley Outlook, and Hemet & San Jacinto Chronicle; the Bonsall/Fallbrook Village News in San Diego County; and Mountain Echo in Shasta County. Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back, and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
Here is a man I would vote for. Is he running for office?
