Wanted felon nabbed in stolen vehicle at Anderson Walmart

ANDERSON, Calif., — Authorities say a wanted felon was arrested after being found in a stolen vehicle at an Anderson Walmart yesterday afternoon, Friday, April 1.

At around 2:30 p.m., a Shasta County sheriff’s deputy was conducting routine patrol in the Walmart parking lot when he spotted a vehicle parked outside the business that had been reported stolen.

Upon further investigation, the vehicle was found to be occupied by 38-year-old Sean Paul Brown and he was taken into custody without incident.

Deputies learned Brown was wanted in connection with a recent domestic battery and he was booked into the Shasta County Jail in Redding on suspicion of eight felony and two misdemeanor charges related to inflicting corporal injuries on a spouse or co-habitant, domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon likely to result in great bodily injuries, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of parole.

Records also indicate he remains in custody, where he is being held without bail.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
