Report of shots fired in Shasta Lake apartment complex yields no arrests

On Friday, May 13th, 2016, at approximately 10:20 PM, deputies from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Operations Division and the City of Shasta Lake Division responded to a report of a suspicious unknown male subject near an apartment building located at 4087 Flower St. in the City of Shasta Lake.

While responding to the location, deputies received information the male suspect attempted to gain entry into a common area of the apartment building.  Additional reports were received of possible gunshots heard in the area of the incident.

Deputies arrived on scene and conducted an extensive search of the area for the male suspect; however no persons of interest were located.  During the investigation, deputies identified evidence of bullet strikes to the apartment building.  Further investigation revealed there were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting.  Deputies interviewed many potential witnesses in the area and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The unknown male suspect is described as a white, male, adult, approximately 30-35 years old, wearing a white tee shirt, and unknown color pants or shorts. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with further information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.
