RIVERSIDE: Officials seek public’s help identifying Carl’s Jr. stabbing suspect

RIVERSIDE — Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a man who allegedly stabbed another man during an argument in front of a Carl’s Jr. restaurant, Tuesday, August 15. The violent and bloody stabbing happened in the 3300 block of La Sierra Avenue near Indiana Avenue in Riverside.

The alleged suspect was last seen riding away from the area on a red mountain bike.

City of Riverside Police and Fire officials responded to the fast-food restaurant about 5 p.m., after the stabbing was reported to 911 emergency dispatchers.

When they arrived, fire and police officials found the stabbing victim bleeding from several stab wounds inside the restaurant. Firefighter/paramedics stabilized the victim before AMR medics transported the injured man to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Officers investigating the incident determined the suspect got into an argument with the victim just outside the entrance to the restaurant. As the argument became more heated, the suspect, who has not been identified or located, pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.

After the suspect stabbed him, the victim ran into the Carl’s Jr. for help.

The unknown suspect then fled the area on a red mountain bike. He was last seen fleeing southbound on La Sierra Avenue away from the restaurant.

Officials have described the suspect as a White male adult in his late 30’s to mid-40’s. The man is believed to be about 5’10” tall, 180 to 200 pounds, with dark-colored hair. He was last seen wearing a plaid short-sleeved button-up shirt with white and red striping, beige cargo shorts, white socks, and white shoes. He also had on a beige hat and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the violent attack or who recognizes or knows the identity of the suspect is encouraged to immediately contact Detective Adrian Tillett at (951) 353-7105 or by email. Callers can remain anonymous.
