Murrieta PD’s Weekly Roundup 8/16

From Murrieta PD/Facebook

– Rumor has it that people want to know what happened on Day Lily Saturday night.

– Monday morning a resident walked out of his home to find someone trying to steal his motorcycle. #notcool The suspect knew that his luck had ran out and he ran to a waiting vehicle. #butnotfastenough Luckily the victim called MPD ASAP and officers responded to the area and immediately located the suspect vehicle. #nicetry #butwefoundyou Jesse Bermudez and Pepe Ramirez couldn’t come up with a good reason for being in the apartment complex at 3:43 a.m., especially considering they live in Lake Elsinore. #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnight The officers discovered that Jesse was on parole #youdontsay and Pepe was in possession of shaved keys. #shocker After being positively identified by the victim, Jesse and Pepe finished their night in #thebyrdhouse.

– When you’re driving around in a parking lot at 2:30 a.m. where the majority of businesses are closed, you’re going to get the attention of an officer. #FYI Officer Pitetti contacted Armando Delgado early Tuesday morning and discovered that he was on parole for burglary. Unfortunately for Armando, he was in possession of burglary tools and narcotics, which was a violation of the terms of his parole. Say it with me #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnight Armando spent the rest of the day in #thebyrdhouse

– Earthquake – confirmed by 1,000 posts on Facebook. #whoneedscaltech #whenyouhaveTT

– Did you think we’d leave you hanging? So, the just of it is that nothing really happened on Day Lily. A resident called us because their residential alarm was activated and believed that someone was in their home. Out of an abundance of caution #officialterminology MPD responded to the location to make sure there was no nefarious activity. With the help of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter, #teamwork officers checked the residence and confirmed that there was no crime. So, as you can see, nothing happened. #nothingtoseehere #movealong

– Remember our Where’s Waldo post? Good news! Waldo was identified as a 14 year old from Lake Elsinore and his cohort was identified as a 14 year old from Murrieta. Officer Hollenweger contacted them both and located the stolen property. The victim was extremely happy to have his property returned and will now remember to do the #9PMroutine. The kids will be facing criminal charges and are probably grounded until Christmas. #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnint #youknewitwascoming

– School is back in session #wooohooo and traffic is going to be a little hectic the next few weeks until everyone gets back into the routine. Please remember to leave a little earlier and be patient during drop off and pick up. #slowdown #bepatient #dontstopintheloop #sayyourgoodbyes #andgetoutofthecar #tuckandroll #keepthelinemoving
