Anderson PD’s POP Team targets crime around Teen Center, 3 arrested

ANDERSON — Following reports of narcotics activity occurring in or around the Anderson Teen Center on East Center Dr., Anderson PD’s Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted a plain clothes operation in the area.

Within the first hour their effort paid off, yielding three arrests for a variety of crimes; including possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, and providing false information to investigating officers. Two of those arrested also had nine arrest warrants between them.

  • Jesse Ray Creech, age 30, of Anderson was arrested on four warrants for his arrest
  • Christopher Lee Griner, age 35, of Anderson, was arrested on five warrants for his arrest. Griner also had heroin and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
  • Kelly Lynn Duncan, age 24, of Anderson, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and for providing a false name to officers.

In a social media release, Anderson PD officials explained they will be continuing proactive enforcement efforts in the area to ensure a safe environment for the children visiting the Teen Center.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
