California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire, along with AMR and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the crash shortly before 5 a.m., after receiving reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and overturned.
911 callers reported that good Samaritans who stopped after witnessing the accident were helping to pull a man and woman from the wrecked and overturned vehicle.
When Cal Fire arrived in the area about 20 minutes later they were initially unable to locate the scene of the crash, according to a CHP incident log. However, they quickly updated finding the wrecked vehicle west of Warren.
Paramedics evaluated and treated the couple at the scene and reported the male suffered light lacerations to his arm, but was otherwise uninjured in the crash. Both occupants declined further treatment.
The crash caused minor traffic delays, as early morning commuters and other motorists slowed down to survey the accident scene.
The vehicle was later towed from the scene and CHP’s investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
