City of Riverside Police and Fire Departments, along with AMR and other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the home at 12:11 a.m., after receiving multiple reports of shots fired in the area. 911 callers also reported there were two victims shot inside a home.

When officers arrived they learned there were several occupants inside the house when the shooting occurred and found two victims who were struck by gunfire.

After securing the scene, officers allowed fire and rescue personnel to enter the area and they soon loaded up and rushed two shooting victims to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.

“One of the victims sustained a significant injury and is in critical condition, while the other was treated for a minor injury and later released,” RPD later explained.

As officers worked at the scene of the shooting they were seen documenting, photographing, and collecting evidence and numerous officials located and recovered numerous shell casings outside the residence and in the street in front of the home.

While officers continued their investigation, crowds of shocked area residents and curious onlookers stood just outside the crime scene, and could be heard talking about what they had seen and heard, as well as what may have led to the shooting.

Riverside PD’s investigation is still in its early stages and citing their ongoing investigation, officials have not released any further details or information.

Anyone with information about this investigation or who witnessed the shooting is encouraged to immediately contact Riverside Police Detective Adrian Tillett at (951) 353-7105 or by email, or Detective Karla Beler at (951) 353-7138 or by email.
