Home destroyed after Valle Vista structure fire
VALLE VISTA — Dozens of firefighters spent about an hour knocking down a destructive residential structure blaze that erupted at a Valle Vista home earlier this afternoon, Sunday, Aug. 25. The fire, which destroyed the residence and left it uninhabitable, happened in the 25000 block of Fore Dr., near Sunshine Ct., according to fire officials.

Nearly two dozen Cal Fire/Riverside County, along with Soboba and City of Hemet firefighters, were dispatched to the blaze around 4 p.m., Cal Fire officials reported via social media. They were assisted by a Breathing Support Unit and a Paramedic Squad. 911 callers reported the fire was burning out of control in the garage of the residence.
When officials arrived they reported finding a single-family dwelling fully engulfed in fire, and updated that the garage blaze had extended into the residence. Firefighters also reported other area residences were in danger of the fire.

While firefighters began an immediate and aggressive attack on the blaze, they called for the temporary closure of westbound Acacia from New Chicago Ave.
Cal Fire updated they had contained the fire around 5 p.m. and reported that resources would remain on scene for approximately two hours to handle mop up and overhaul operations.
Officials have not yet determined if anyone was inside the residence at the time of the fire or if the blaze resulted in any injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
