Known drug house “red-tagged” – 2 arrested, after Anderson traffic stop
ANDERSON — Authorities in Anderson say an early morning traffic stop led to the arrest of two people and a known drug house being shut down Tuesday, Dec. 31.
At the conclusion of their traffic stop and investigation at the home, located on the 1700 block of Brigman St., officials “red-tagged” the residence, after deeming it unsafe and uninhabitable, according to Anderson PD officials.

Tuesday’s investigation began around 1:50 a.m., when an Anderson PD patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that pulled into the driveway of what officers say was a “problem house”, that was “well known to APD for illegal activity,” officials said in a social media post after the investigation.
During the traffic stop, officers learned a parolee with an outstanding warrant was living at the home, described as a small, one-bedroom residence where five adults and three dogs were living.

Officers soon located Jessica Wright, 38, of Anderson, who was on parole for burglary, inside the home and detained her. Officers also located the homeowner, Brent Bibbens, 58, of Anderson, as well as other subjects who were on probation out of Shasta County.
During a subsequent parole and probation search of the residence, officers discovered numerous hypodermic syringes, methamphetamine smoking pipes, illegal prescription drugs, heroin, scales, and over an ounce of methamphetamine inside the home.
Based on their investigation and findings, officers arrested Bibbens for maintaining a residence for the purposes of using illegal drugs and/or selling illegal drugs, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of sales, and possession of heroin for the purpose of sales.
Officers also arrested Wright for her outstanding warrant, maintaining a residence for purposes of using illegal drugs and/or selling illegal drugs, and possession of heroin.
A City of Anderson Code Enforcement Officer summoned to the home found numerous code violations on the property and inside the residence, which resulted in the residence being “red tagged”; meaning it was deemed uninhabitable in its current condition.
“The Anderson Police Department hopes this will greatly reduce the criminal activity in this specific neighborhood,” APD officials wrote in their social media release.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
