Deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to a Speedway gas station near the 22000 Block of Alessandro Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m., after receiving reports of a man down at the location, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Lionel Murphy later said of the homicide investigation.

The 911 caller reported an adult male, who arrived at the location in a white Nissan SUV with its driver’s side window shattered, was bleeding and had collapsed on the ground.

A deputy arrived at the scene within minutes and found the male unresponsive.

The deputy began CPR and continued life-saving efforts until Cal Fire-Riverside paramedics arrived and took over efforts to save the man.

“Despite life-saving measures, the male was pronounced deceased on scene,” said Murphy.

Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials later identified the victim as Victor Adrianoamat Guzman, 30, of Moreno Valley.
