Two stabbed, one dies, during Riverside river-bottom party attended by thousands
RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Authorities say one man has died and another is recovering from stab wounds received during a large fight that erupted during a Riverside river-bottom party that was attended by thousands of party-goers early Sunday morning, Feb. 28.
Detectives now investigating the double stabbing believe there are witnesses who have yet to come forward and also believe there were videos taken at this large event and of the fight. They have asked those with information or videos, or anyone who witnessed the fight to contact them.

Riverside Police Officers responded to a local hospital around 1:22 a.m. after two stabbing victims were brought into the emergency room with stab wounds, according to Riverside PD spokesman Officer Ryan Railsback.
“One of these victims was being treated for non-life-threatening wounds but the other died from his injuries,” officials have since reported.
The victim who was fatally stabbed has been identified as 19-year-old, Raul Saldana, of Riverside.
Detectives with the Robbery – Homicide Unit, along with Specialists from the Forensics Unit, responded and assumed the investigation. They were assisted by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
During their preliminary investigation, officials learned that a fight broke out during a large party in the river bottom area beneath the 60 Freeway and Market Street
Officials have since said the party was attended by thousands of people.
“Both victims were stabbed during this fight then transported to the hospital by other partygoers,” said officials.
This homicide and stabbing investigation is active and ongoing, according to Railsback.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
