Hemet woman, 19, ID’d after deadly San Jacinto crash

SAN JACINTO, Calif., — Authorities say a local woman was killed in a solo-vehicle crash north of San Jacinto after her pickup truck was discovered in a ditch early Saturday morning, Nov. 6. The deadly accident happened in the area of Hwy 79/Lamb Canyon Road and Gilman Springs Road, according to officials.

CHP and other emergency personnel were alerted to the crash shortly after midnight, after receiving a 911 call reporting a pickup truck spotted off the roadway.

Arriving officials found a truck that had crashed into a ditch and shortly thereafter determined the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the scene.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has since identified Anahi Ramirez, 19, of Hemet, as the woman killed in the crash. A Coroner’s report indicated she was pronounced deceased at 12:36 a.m.

CHP’s investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is continuing and no further details were immediately available.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
