The fire was reported at about 1 a.m., in the 41900 block of Briarwood Ave. The fire occurred at an occupied fourplex, according to the press release.

This was the second fire reported on the same street in as many months. The previous fire occurred on Dec. 14 and displaced two people. That fire is reportedly still under investigation.

Jody Hagemann, press information officer for Cal Fire, reported that eight firefighters from two engine companies responded to this morning’s fire.

The first arriving firefighters reported finding a vehicle and garage on fire at the location. Several occupants from the living quarters were safely evacuated from the residences.

The fire was quickly contained to the vehicle, however the garage sustained minor damage, according to Hagemann. Resources reportedly remained on scene for approximately one hour following the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported, according to Hagemann.

  • A couple of days ago , I read a post that there was a group of young boys throwing things over fences catching backyards on fire and running and laughter . Perhaps this incidence ties into that one. . I will check back on post to see what the cross streets were or the name of the person who posted the information because she said they got the fire out in her yard .
