Report of woman trying to give meth to girl, 15, leads to Anderson arrests
ANDERSON, Calif. — Authorities in Anderson say a 55-year-old Cottonwood woman was arrested after allegedly offering methamphetamine to a 15-year-old girl Monday evening, Aug. 24.
The incident, which led to both the woman’s arrest as well as an unrelated arrest of a wanted felon, happened near the North Street bridge in the City of Anderson, according to officials.

Anderson Police Department began investigating the incident around 7 p.m., after receiving the report of a woman attempting to sell methamphetamine to the juvenile, officials said in a social media release.
The teen told responding officers that a woman, since identified as 55-year-old, Sandra Christine Bradford, of Cottonwood, had asked her “if she had tried meth yet”, and told the girl she had some and would provide it to her.

After interviewing the teen, officers located Bradford and two men near the bridge.
“Bradford denied being in possession of or offering methamphetamine to the juvenile, claiming that she was only attempting to explain the dangers of drugs to the juvenile,” explained officials.
“However, upon having Bradford stand, officers located a used methamphetamine smoking pipe and small bag of methamphetamine on the ground where she had been seated,” officials continued.
During their investigation, officers interviewed the two men with Bradford and they corroborated the juvenile’s statement, saying the Cottonwood woman had offered to provide methamphetamine to the girl.

Based on their investigation officers arrested Bradford and she was later booked into Shasta County Jail in Redding on suspicion of attempting to furnish methamphetamine to a juvenile, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell/furnish it, felony child endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Online jail records indicate Bradford remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail or bond.

During that investigation, officers contacted another woman in a car, 36-year-old, Amanda Pickrell, of Anderson; who Anderson PD later described as being “well known” to their officers.
During that contact, officers learned Pickrell was driving with an expired driver’s license, and that she had two felony and two misdemeanor warrants for her arrest.
Officers also discovered that Pickrell was in possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe and arrested her and booked her into jail for her warrants as well as new charges related to their contact with her.
Online jail records indicate Pickrell has since been released and is no longer in custody.
