Found with Satanism literature, Lakehead burglar arrested
LAKEHEAD, Calif. — A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Lakehead area home and then trying to hide from deputies who surrounded the residence Friday evening, Sept. 18.
Arresting officials later pointed out that the suspect was found with literature related to Satanism when he was apprehended inside the Night Hawk Ln. residence.

Shasta Lake Station deputies responded to the location shortly before 9:45 p.m., after the homeowner called 911 and reported a possible burglary in progress at her residence, Shasta County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Koenen later said of the incident and arrest.
The homeowner, who was out of the area at the time, called to report the incident after receiving information from a neighbor that a man had just been seen entering the home.
Robert Dante, 34, was arrested after deputies found him hiding inside a Lakehead residence he had broken into. When he was arrested deputies found meth, a smoking pipe and literature related to Satanism, according to Shasta County Sheriff’s officials.
When deputies arrived and cautiously approached the residence they could see a man inside the house through a window, at which time they formed a perimeter around the residence and waited for additional deputies to arrive.
Upon spotting the arriving deputies the man, since identified as 34-year-old Robert Isaac Dante, fled upstairs to the second floor of the residence.
“Announcements were made via the patrol car loud speakers for several minutes but the subject would not come out and surrender,” Koenen explained.
“Deputies made entry into the house and located the subject hiding in an upstairs closet,” Koenen described; saying, “The subject was taken into custody without incident.”
When Dante was arrested deputies discovered he was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to Koenen; who added, “Literature related to Satanism was located.”

Hello. I know this man and his family. He IS NOT a satanist. He is anti-satan as a matter of fact, and he’s obviously MENTALLY ILL which I can adhere to myself. They should pursue legal action against you for this. Whoever decided this was OK seriously has no morals and values. You should be appalled. The house he “burglarized” was actually his neighbors. He genuinely thought that was his own home. The neighbors know he is mentally ill as well as the police. It’s this county that doesn’t have a legitimate mental health system. Instead you leave families like mine to deal with this mess. He needs help. Not people bagging on him. It’s a disgrace! I do hope this mans family takes legal action against this whole situation.
