While City of Hemet patrol officers and Gang Task Force members were responding to the area,  aviation members reported seeing the truck swerve around stopped vehicles into a field at Warren Rd. and W. Stetson Ave. and then run a stoplight at Warren Rd. and Mustang Way.

With Star-9 providing updates from above, officers managed to get behind the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop in the area of W. Stetson and Palm avenues, where the driver pulled into an empty parking lot across the street from Hemet Fire Station #2.

Officials ultimately detained the angry and belligerent driver for DUI and transported him to Hemet PD for further investigation. His female passenger was later released.
