Woman, 22, killed in two-vehicle San Jacinto crash
SAN JACINTO, Calif. — A San Jacinto woman was killed after a two-vehicle broadside collision in San Jacinto Thursday afternoon, March 11. It was not immediately known if excessive speed, rain-slicked roads, or distracted driving were possible contributing factors in the deadly crash, but officials have ruled out drug or alcohol intoxication.
The fatal accident happened on Sanderson Avenue, about a quarter-mile north of Ramona Expressway and south of Gilman Springs Road.

Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, along with Cal Fire-Riverside and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene around 4 p.m. Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Mike Heath has since said of the deadly accident.
When officials arrived they located two wrecked vehicles, described as a white Chevy SUV and grey Honda Civic sedan, with vehicle parts and debris scattered across and blocking the northbound lanes of the roadway. The Chevy had heavy front-end damage, while the Honda sustained major passenger side damage, suggesting a “T-Bone” collision had occurred.

While deputies began traffic control and investigating the collision, Cal-Fire paramedics evaluated and treated the two drivers involved in the crash.
According to witnesses at the scene, the driver of the SUV was uninjured. However, the other driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where she later succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials have since identified Julia Beeson, 22, of San Jacinto, as the victim killed in the collision. A coroner’s release indicated she was pronounced deceased at 5:40 p.m.
Yesterday’s fatal collision forced the closure of northbound Sanderson heading into Lamb Canyon toward Beaumont, leading to significant delays in travel times. Officials eventually implemented one-way traffic control to help ease congestion through the area. EN3 Media photos
Based on the circumstances, members of the San Jacinto Station’s Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Early on in the investigation, northbound Sanderson Avenue from Ramona Expressway was closed. However, officials later implemented one-way traffic control to ease congestion; which reportedly caused significant delays in travel times for area commuters and other motorists.
