Cal Fire-Riverside firefighters were alerted to the situation around noon after receiving reports of three people stuck in the lake after their overturned Sea-Doo capsized.

Firefighters, Lake Elsinore Station sheriff’s deputies, and other emergency personnel responded to the Lakeshore Drive Sea Port Boat Launch to begin their rescue effort.

“Firefighters were able to access a city-owned boat and successfully pulled all three victims from the water,” Cal Fire spokesperson Jody Hagemann reported from the scene.

One adult and one child were transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries, while the third victim was evaluated but declined further treatment at the scene, according to Hagemann.

Officials did not specify what led to the accident and watercraft’s capsizing.
