Man with sexual assault arrests in four states nabbed after grabbing, assaulting Murrieta girl

MURRIETA, Calif. — A man with a lengthy criminal record with prior sexual assault arrests throughout California, Arizona, Texas and Oregon was arrested again in Murrieta after allegedly grabbing and trying to kiss a teen as she sat in a vehicle parked outside a Murrieta medical office yesterday morning, Thursday, July 8.

Officers had been responding to reports of a man acting suspiciously in the Hancock Avenue parking lot when they arrived and spotted the suspect, Samuel Ricardo Dominguez, standing near the open door of a parked SUV. Upon seeing the approaching officers, Dominguez attempted to flee the area on a skateboard but was quickly located and detained by responding officers.

Officer were first alerted to Dominguez’ suspicious behavior around 8:40 a.m. when they received a 911 call from a concerned citizen, Murrieta PD later said in a social media release.

“The first officer on scene spotted the male standing near the open door of a parked SUV but the male fled on a skateboard when additional officers arrived,” officials explained. “The male was found and detained a short distance away while other officers checked on the SUV.”

Officers who checked on the SUV found a shaken 17-year-old girl who told them that Dominguez had just grabbed her and attempted to kiss her, as she sat inside her parent’s SUV waiting for them to conclude a visit to the medical office. The man had also refused to let the terrified girl go.

“The female told officers the male had grabbed her and tried to kiss her while she was sitting inside the SUV with the door ajar,” officials explained; adding the man fled when officers arrived.

During their subsequent investigation, officers learned Dominguez had a lengthy criminal record with prior sexual assault arrests throughout California, Arizona, Texas and Oregon.

Based on their investigation, officers arrested Dominguez and he was later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of false imprisonment, sexual battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Online jail records indicate he remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail or bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta on July 12.
